29/3Tomorrow is Jeff’s 20th Birthday.Big boy le!Work had been fun, colleagues have been nice and we mingled quite often together.A lot happened and things changed since I last updated but some things still remains the same.I still do not have Internet access!!That’s how irritating it is.During the last weekend, we went Wu Yi and Shanghai.The former is a place where people usually get their goods from (supplier) thus cheaper than what we see in shops. However, that stupid guide took us to the utensils and appliances department instead of fashion department. (P.S Wu Yi is freaking big and after that we knew that the fashion department is at another end of the world) Anyway, I got some earrings and lock (super cute lock for S$1) for my hand carry. Shanghai was fun and a partnership was formed in split second. Xiang Yang Street is like another version of Chaktuchuk and a lot of bargaining is required. Sellers will marked up their price by more than 400% and buyers have to use wits and a lot of acting skills to push the price down. Previously, Adrian told me to mark down the calling price by 75%. I thought it was ridiculous but now I understand. Do note that not all places can do that and don’t take it to heart if they comment that they don’t want your business. In their heart, they are dying to earn your money but they are just fools not entertaining you. Take the incident at Shi Road in Suzhou, Jasmine and I was window-shopping and I was particularly fond of a pair of earrings. The first store offered 8 RMB but I refused to buy. Call me cheap skate if you want. But if u get it, you are stupid. He refused to budge after my counters so I gave up and proceed to another. Selling the same thing but the prices varies. She sold that same pair for 18RMB!!! Crazy is my reply to her and she retorted, “Leave if you want, I will not even bother holding you back!”Bloody hell!She doesn’t know she just let go a big fish back to the pool.Being an accessories addict, I will definitely buy enough to wear different pair everyday.That silly old woman!Okay, back to Xiang Yang Street.Jasmine and I played tag team together to fight all the sellers!!!Jasmine plays the sweetie girl who ask to lower the price or give free gifts while I play the meanie girl who knows the price of stuff and went straight to the point how much we are willing to offer for their things.Was fun arguing with them and negotiating the prices.It is like purchasing of raw materials in supply chain and applying them in real life. My partnership with Jasmine was a surprise to all of us. Decision was made within second and nothing is confirmed or guaranteed. A huge loss if we failed but if we don't try we will never succeed. That is how entrepreneurs come about.Anyway....
